Build evolutionary relationship between sequences
We can calculate the distance between sequences
of genes and proteins. A phylogenetic tree is then
constructed to predict their
evolutionary relationship.
Predicting protein-protein interaction
We use some machine learning techniques such as
artificial neural networks or support vector machines to predict whether there
are interactions between proteins.
Analysis of correlation between gene expressions
We import gene expression information (gene arrays or other experimental methods)
from available sources. The expression correlation between these genes
can be studied and predicted by using some statistical methods or
a Bayesian network.
