Sequence searching, comparison, and identify
Since 1980, bioinformatics have focused on how to
integrate the huge number of databases. Integration is based on the database technologies which includes strong and weak integration methods. Strong integration combines many databases to form a major
one, and each one works individually by itself. Weak integration connects each database by
a network. Databases are arranged through literature units previously. Now they are translated into genomes or genetic units. Besides, the computer languages which can illustrate information are
more powerful than ever. The three major international genome databases are managed
in America, Japan, and European countries.
